1911 Style Pistols (all sizes) Action Work - $125*
INSPECT/CHECK SIGHTS, HAMMER-FRAME & TRIGGER-FRAME ALIGNMENT & CLEARANCE, CROWN, SLIDE-TO-FRAME AND BARREL BUSHING FIT, RAMP & THROAT, BARREL HOOD ALIGNMENT & ENGAGEMENT, BARREL-SLIDE LOCKUP, LOCKING LUG AND PIN TIGHTNESS, EXTRACTOR TENSION, SLIDE RAILS & BREECH FACE, FIRING PIN CLEARANCE & FIRING PIN STOP FIT - MIRROR POLISH RAMP & THROAT - POLISH LOCKING LUG, SLIDE AND FRAME RAILS, BREECH FACE, DISCONNECTOR SLOT AREA, TRIGGER BOW & DISCONNECTOR SPRING, HAMMER & SEAR – ADJUST EXTRACTOR TENSION, TRIGGER TAKE-UP & OVER TRAVEL (if applicable) - CONTOUR EJECTOR NOSE - FIT ALL COMPONENTS & PINS; LUBE, REASSEMBLE AND DRY-FIRE TEST. Excessively dirty or poorly maintained firearms and those needing parts or repairs will incur additional charges.
NOTE: If your Series 70 style 1911 has a steel firing pin AND you carry it in Condition 1 (cocked and locked), replacing the steel pin with a lighter titanium pin is strongly recommended to reduce the likelihood of an accidental discharge if the pistol is dropped muzzle down. Titanium firing pins cost under $20, including installation.

Action with Parts Upgrade Parts - $125 (plus parts*)
This action work is the same as that detailed in the ‘1911 Style Pistols (all sizes) Action Work’ (above) with additional upgraded and/or replacement parts. With the condition and quality of 1911 pistols running the gamut from superb to poor, substantial improvements in accuracy and reliability can often be had with the judicious use of fitted replacement and/or upgraded parts. Depending upon make, model, condition and purpose of your 1911, some of the replacement/upgrade parts to consider could include:

Polymer & Striker-Fired Pistols Action Work - $100*
Applicable to striker-fired and hammer-fired polymer pistols such as the Glock, S&W M&P, Ruger LC and SR Series, Springfield XD, Sig Sauer, Walther and similar firearms (note the following components may not be applicable to all striker and hammer fired, polymer framed pistols):
INSPECT/CHECK SIGHTS, TRIGGER-FRAME AND HAMMER-FRAME (if applicable) ALIGNMENT AND CLEARANCE, CROWN, SLIDE-TO-FRAME FIT, RAMP AND THROAT, BARREL ALIGNMENT AND ENGAGEMENT, BARREL-SLIDE LOCKUP, LOCKING CAM, EXTRACTOR TENSION, SLIDE RAILS AND BREECH FACE, FIRING PIN/STRIKER CLEARANCE AND FIT - MIRROR POLISH RAMP & THROAT – POLISH SLIDE AND FRAME RAILS, BREECH FACE, TRIGGER, HAMMER (if applicable) AND SEAR - FIT ALL COMPONENTS AND PINS; LUBRICATE, REASSEMBLE AND DRY-FIRE TEST. LIVE FIRE TESTING WHEN NECESSARY (charges incurred for ammunition used during testing).

Repairs and Custom Pistol Work - $26/hr
Feeding and reliability issues corrected; installation and hand-fitting of triggers, hammers and/or other parts; sight repairs and installation of after-market sights; replacement of worn or broken parts; and other repairs necessary to return the pistol to serviceable condition; and/or those specific repairs requested by the customer. Estimates upon request, all parts additional.
Note: Incomplete, partial or ill-advised repairs/modifications that would render a firearm unsafe or illegal, even when specified by the customer, will NOT be performed.
Semi-Auto Cleaning - $65
Detailed stripping and complete and thorough cleaning of the pistol. Professional safety inspection of critical components. Replacement of worn springs and any needed small parts. Then lubrication to factory standards, reassembly and function testing.
Removal of excessive lead or gilding metal fouling from the barrel and chamber is also available at extra cost.
Note: poorly maintained firearms and those needing repairs will incur additional charges.
